Madden 21: Top 5 Ultimate Team Cards That Cost A Fortune

Madden 21 has been out for a few months and that means that the roster of cards in the Ultimate Team mode has grown exponentially. Since the developers add cards over time, the one's players can acquire in the auction house and on the trade block become more and more expensive as overalls increase.

Many of the NFL legends from the game's storied history receive high overall cards that become quite pricey. Let's now take the time to look at some of the cards in Ultimate Team that cost a fortune and will leave users coinless.

Chad Johnson 94 (~750k)

Chad Johnson is a former American football wide receiver. Johnson emerged as one of the NFL's most productive wide receivers of the 2000s and owned nearly every Bengals receiving record. He has a 94 overall legends card in Madden 21's Ultimate Team that can be seen going for as high as 750,000 coins in the auction house. The card doesn't have any jaw-dropping ratings, but it happens to be one of the highest overall cards available in the game at this time.

Ronnie Lott 94 (~560k)

Ronnie Lott happens to be one of the toughest and most feared football players to ever suit up in the NFL. The imposing safety was known for his aggressive attitude and unrelenting spirit. He manned the back of some legendary San Francisco 49ers defenses and made quite the reputation for himself. Lott was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000 and is widely considered to be one of the best of all-time at the safety position in NFL history and one of the best players in NFL history.  His 94 overall legend card can be acquired for around 560,000 coins, so hopefully, players save up for him. It comes packed with a tackle and pursuit rating of 90 and a hit power rating of 93.

Jack Youngblood 94 (~555k)

When younger NFL fans discuss some of the NFL's greatest defensive players, they often forget about the great Jack Youngblood. He played for the Los Angeles Rams for all 13 years of his career. A career that saw him stack up 151.5 quarterback sacks and had his #85 jersey retired by the team. For fourteen seasons during the 1970s and 1980s. He was a five-time consensus All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The legends in Ultimate Team get added periodically, and Youngblood was gifted with a 94 overall card as part of the program. He works in both a 3-4 and 4-3 defense and will look to make an immediate mark on any player's lineup.

Lynn Swann 94 (~499k)

Lynn Swann is not only a USC and Pittsburgh Steelers football legend. He was a chairman for a serving president. He served as the Chairman of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports from 2002 to 2005, under President George W. Bush. With the Steelers, Swann won four Super Bowls, was selected to three Pro Bowls, and was named MVP of Super Bowl X. He's not the flashiest or most athletic wideout, but his 94 overall card can make a difference, provided players have 500,000 coins to spare.

Cliff Harris 94 (~400k)

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the franchises with a grand legacy in the NFL that features legends in almost every decade.  A Pro Football Hall of Famer appeared in five Super Bowls and was selected to six consecutive Pro Bowls. His 94 overall card in Ultimate Team goes for around 400,000 coins and pays tribute to the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor member.

So here, try to give you some guidance so no matter what team you're playing as you have a general idea of just what to do next. Run or Pass The Madden NFL engine historically favors passing, much like the real-life NFL. That's not to say you should never call a running play, however, both are useful when used correctly. Let's assume that your team's running game and passing game are roughly equal in terms of overall ability and success.
