NBA 2K21 will support cross-progression between current and next-gen consoles, but only in the online MyTEAM game mode so that you can enjoy MyTEAM uninterrupted, all year long, 2K has confirmed. Players will only switch between the same family of consoles as much as they want, as this is not a one-time transfer. Progress from Domination, Triple Threat, and cards will carry over all in-game currencies, including MyTEAM Points. But the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of NBA 2K21 will be increased by $10 to $70.  Being able to carry over MyTEAM points and cards will make purchasing the game as soon as it released a far more attractive prospect. After all, players won't feel like they are wasting their money and will almost certainly be more willing to upgrade.
