How To Use FieldSENSE In Madden 23

EA Sports has been trying to find new methods to make the traditional soccer video game franchise extra life-like and thrilling. Now they bring a new system, FieldSENSE, that equips players with more control at every position using "physics-informed animation and animation-branching technology". Ultimately providing players with more consistent and ultra-realistic gameplay through physics-based outcomes. So in this guide, we'll do a deeper dive into the main points surrounding this new FieldSENSE gameplay system and how to use it in Madden 23.

The new FieldSENSE Gameplay System consists of 4 key parts:

Hit Everything

Redefining defensive pursuit, new Hit Everything mechanics let you be more disruptive on defense. New animation branching technology in Madden NFL 23 enables next-gen Hit-Stick physics so you can perform mid-air knockouts, hit the pile to assist in tackles already in progress, blow up blocks, and force turnovers with stand-up tackles. With these newly introduced mechanics, users are expected to have more control over the defense and become more disruptive when lined up one-on-one with the offensive player.

Skill Based Passing

The new Skill-Based Passing system might not help you land every single pass, but it will give you a bit more control. When you hold down the left trigger during a pass, a small circle will appear on the field with an even smaller reticle inside. You can control where that reticle goes inside the circle to see if your receiver can catch it at that exact spot. It takes some getting used to, but once you understand the basics, it will allow you to throw fakeout passes and make more precise plays.

360° Cuts

Whether you're a running back, wide receiver after the catch, or returning a kick, new 360° Cuts give you the freedom and fluidity as the ball-carrier to hit the gaps you want to, plant-and-go, and elude defenders using Left Trigger/L2 and a well-timed flick of your stick. Previously, players could only rely on their basic movement to choose between hard cuts or rounded turns, but now you decide when and where to cut so that the ball carrier finds the perfect lane as soon as you do.

WR vs. DB Battles

With this new mechanic, broad receivers will probably be given some contemporary launch strikes and footwork abilities. Allowing them to beat opposing cornerbacks off the road. Whereas defensive backs will too be supplied with some new counter-press mechanics and dynamic bodily maneuvers to maintain pass-catchers in verify. Which ought to result in some epic 1-v-1 battles off the road of scrimmage.

These are why EA Sports has put such an emphasis on adding in this new FieldSENSE Gameplay System to Madden 23. Unfortunately, this feature will only be available on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S. So, those still stuck with a PS4 or Xbox One will not have access to the FieldSENSE system.

That's everything you need to know about how to use FieldSENSE in Madden 23. What do you think of this new feature? Let us know in the comment section below, and take this discussion further at U4gm. So here, try to give you some guidance so no matter what team you're playing as you have a general idea of just what to do next. Run or Pass The Madden NFL engine historically favors passing, much like the real-life NFL. That's not to say you should never call a running play, however, both are useful when used correctly. Let's assume that your team's running game and passing game are roughly equal in terms of overall ability and success.
