Madden 23 New Feature FieldSENSE Guide

Madden 23 will feature a brand-new gameplay system called “FieldSENSE,” a first for the series. FieldSENSE has been described as a new feature that equips players with more control at every position using “physics-informed animation and animation-branching technology”. Ultimately providing players with more consistent and ultra-realistic gameplay through physics-based outcomes. With that being said, let’s get you up to speed on everything about FieldSENSE within the game.

In the trailer, EA identified four key components of the new FieldSENSE Gameplay System: Hit Everything, Skill Based Passing, 360° Cuts, and WR vs. DB Battles. Here’s a full breakdown of each using what we were able to gather from the trailer:

Hit Everything: Redefining defensive pursuit, new mechanics let you be more disruptive on defense. New animation branching technology in Madden NFL 23 enables next-gen Hit-Stick physics so you can perform mid-air knockouts, hit the pile to assist in tackles already in progress, blow up blocks, and force turnovers with stand-up tackles.
Skill-Based Passing: Lead your receivers open, drop back-shoulder throws into tight windows, and place every pass where only your receiver can catch it with surgical accuracy, thanks to this all-new way to pass. Skill-Based Passing introduces a new accuracy reticle and passing meter.
360° Cuts: Whether you’re a running back, wide receiver after the catch, or returning a kick, new 360° Cuts give you the freedom and fluidity as the ball-carrier to hit the gaps as you see them plant-and-go, and elude defenders to break more big plays.
WR vs DB Battles: A suite of new wide receiver release moves and defensive back counter-press mechanics make for some fancy footwork and crucial 1-v-1 battles off the line.

Unfortunately, this feature will only be available on the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S. So, those still stuck with a PS4 or Xbox One will not have access to the FieldSENSE system.

At the moment, that is everything we know about what FieldSENSE is in Madden 23 and what systems can use it. We will keep you updated on how the feature changes the game when the title releases this August. For more guides, please follow U4gm.com.

So in this article, we bring some useful tips and tricks to strengthen your defense and turn your offense into an unstoppable machine. Mix Playbook Up On the offensive and defensive side of the ball, there are 32 different sets of plays for 32 different teams. The playbooks can hold up to 500 plays in Madden. The typical playbook doesn’t get close to that limit. No matter which team you choose, you’ll be slightly intimidated by how many plays are on offer. Many of these are offshoots of the same idea, though, so taking a few minutes to find a few that work for you will help no end at first. From there, stick to the basics. Start with running backs and smart, easy to intercept passes and build from there. You’ll find yourself learning the plays much faster this way as well.
