Quarterback

The position is the most important in football and arguably the most critical in all American sports. Defensive ends are the most important defensive position. Even if you aren't using them, they will be responsible for most of your pressure on the defensive line. Good defensive ends will stop running backs in their tracks and make throwing a nightmare, severely limiting your opponents' options and versatility. No matter how good your cornerbacks are, they will be hard-pressed. They also force the QB to make panicky throws when under pressure or force them to throw the ball away.

Running Back

If you can hit 24s every game with your offense, you will practically guarantee never lose. The running back is very important since rushing makes up half of your offensive possibility, and your primary HB will be taking on most of this border. Middle Linebacker
